The third kind of resume we have is the combination resume, a merging of the chronological format, with the functional format.
It combines the knowledge, skills and abilities as highlighted in the functional resume, with a shorter, chronological work summary as contained in a traditional resume.
It easily incorporates other experiences, like volunteering or internships, if your resume is a bit thin because you are quite young, or you have been out of the workforce for health or childcare reasons.
It is ideal for job seekers with a varied employment history, and by career changers. It also also good for older workers, to give the nitty-gritty without dwelling too much on age.
The combination resume will look something like this:
First and Last Name
Address Line 1
Address Line 2
City, State Zip Code
(555) 555-5555
